The Marie Mantle is based on fashionable mantles worn from the mid-18th century to the end of the 1770s. View A is a short mantle with rounded front points, while View B is slightly longer with wide triangular front points. Both views can be made with or without a small hood with star pleating, and can be constructed from solid fabric with various trims or from lace or net fabric with lace edging.
