🎉Proudest 2024 make🎉
I made this adorable toddlers romper for a dear friend’s kid using a tiny amount of remnant fabric from her grandmother (the pale pink top and the red ribbon) and thrifted vintage fabric from @achievesewingbasket (the blue bottoms).
I love that I was able to incorporate such a tiny scrap of sentimental fabric into a wearable item. Although, having now seen the romper in action I should have made it into a dress or added snaps to the crotch! It is such a pain to undress a toddler completely to do a nappy change 😅😅 However the huge pockets have been an absolutely hit!! The toddler uses them all the time 🥳
The romper was a birthday gift, and I agonised over button choice until the last minute and had to sew them on in the car on the way to the party! Anyone else procrastinate sewing on buttons?! 🫣
I used a thrifted pattern I found for $1 - McCall’s #m8428 and will definitely be using it again, although maybe the dress version next time!
