So this is my latest make. I used a pattern for my Morticia Addams dress. Altered the neckline and hemline. Used a moderately thick scuba black material. Perfect for costumes as not too thin/see through and does not need finishing so very easy hemline and sleeve drapes. I planned to make my husbands suit too, but outrageously the material was over £30 per yard and for a costume we decided to just buy it and I took it in for him. 🐍 ...for my final Halloween look, I decided to dress up as the lovely & misunderstood (if I must say so myself) gorgon herself - Medusa! Fabrics are from @joann_stores The majority of the dress is made with a green stretch velvet and the flare sleeves are made with a gold and black mesh lace. Pattern is @simplicity_creative_group #s8973 (View C - I omitted the ties in the center bodice front and the cut outs at the bottom of the dress and I also got away with not installing a zipper 😂 call me lazy I know haha) and the headpiece is from my local Halloween store.
