I didn't get to wear this out last night, but that's ok bc I think it's more casual anyway. It's actually a really nice change from my usual t shirt and bike shorts I wear when it's 110F outside and I don't want to get dressed.
I got this 1.5m cut of fabric from #wearethefabricstore for U$D4.46 !! It's lightweight poly double jersey knit. I did iron on interfacing for the waistband and a lot of color transferred even after pre wash, but at least I learned not to sit on a white couch wearing this for a while.
For the top I used #s9885 and hacked it off under the bust, added a 4in x width of pattern piece band folded in half lengthwise and inserted 1.5" elastic.
For the shorts I used #fridaypatterncompany #saguaroset with 3" inseam. This set was super fun to sew and except for hems, it was all done on the serger in maybe 1.5 hours.
