This vintage 1970's pattern features a stitch trimmed top with puffed sleeves in two lengths that ties in front. The short sleeve top has elastic in casings. The skirt comes in two lengths with shaped front seaming and back zipper.

After turning in my thesis I at last have some time to spend on my projects! 🌷 This here is an upcycle of a blouse/shirt I thrifted a while back. The fabric was really pretty but the garment was a bit strange (it had a hood?) Pattern is the vintage 70s McCall's pattern #M8431 Had to get a little creative with the sleeves and patch a few smaller pieces together. Those extra seams are there because I chose to reuse fabric from an old garment, so to me that just makes the finished piece even more special 🌿 The whole piece is sewn with french seams as to protect the delicate fabric. Also opted for a sleeve without elastic. As I was limited on fabric I also skipped the lining part and instead just did a folded hem. Sewing with this thin fabric was a bit challenging, so I'm really happy that none of the edges look warped!
