It's an Easter matching l moment!
Here's the story:
This lovely springy floral chiffon came in a @moodfabrics mystery box, and I fell in love immediately—then promptly panicked because I had no idea how to sew chiffon. It sat in my stash for about a year while I worked up the courage.
Fast forward: I finally felt confident enough to give it a try. I had almost 3 yards (by my best guess), so I planned to make a skirt. I ordered a peach rayon from @fabricwholesaledirect for the lining—highly recommend, it’s super soft and perfect for this kind of project.
After finishing my skirt (#newlook6272), I realized I still had enough fabric left to make a whole dress for my younger daughter (#mccallsm8266) and a matching skirt for my older daughter (#simplicitys3044)—which worked out well since she’s rather picky about sleeves.
The results are so delightful, and I’m officially over my fear of chiffon. Like a lot of things in sewing, it turned out to be not so scary after all.
