I made matching flannel pajama pants for my family, and I never want to sew the same thing four times in a row ever again! 🎄 I hope everyone who celebrates had a very Merry Christmas! These are @simplicity_creative_group #S9202 in a super snuggle flannel from @joann_stores that I ordered online and had shipped to me. I do not recommend ordering fabric from Joann's for shipping because how they will fulfill the order is unpredictable. I bought 11 yards, and got a discount for "buying the bolt," which is 8 yards. I expected a 8 yard cut + 3 yard cut. I got a 7 yard + 4 yard cut, which messed up my cutting plans and required me to buy more fabric to fit a whole pant leg. 🙃 While I used the #Simplicity9202 pattern pieces, I ignored the instructions because I wanted to do flat felled seams, which changed the order of construction. I picked sizes based on everyone's hip measurements, which worked out well. My family is tall (all above 5'10"). I used the length as is for my mom and me, but did a shallower hem for my dad and added 2" to the length of my sister's pants. I had everyone try on the pants with the elastic safety pinned before cutting and sewing it in. The dogs have bandanas I made from scraps using a free @spoonflower template. I also made a pair of pajama pants for my 1 year old niece, but not sharing those here. I added the custom labels from @wunderlabel to the outside of each right front pant leg. I ordered these last year but haven't used them much because the glittery letters are scratchy. Thought they were a fun touch on these though! ✨
