Our small community celebrated a Bat Mitzvah this weekend. For such a joyous occasion I made two dresses. Let’s start with #V9325 This is a great pattern, but I did tweak it a bit. I lined the sleeves and the sleeve flounces and installed an exposed zipper. This was my first exposed zipper so I definitely want to try the technique again and improve. I saw lots of lined sleeve flounces at #kcfw so I wanted to try them myself. I don’t usually wear pink, but rosy pink has been a trendy color the last couple of years. Found this gorgeous shantung from @moodfabrics. I used #mccallspatterns #m7279 for the dress ad upper sleeve, and #voguepatterns #v9325 for the flounce and detachable bows. The grey wool jacquard was from @josephinesdrygoods in Portland, OR and silk charmeuse lining from #thaisilks in Mountain View, CA.
