#FebruaryFling After I missed out on the "Jump Start January" - which was a really helpful Motto to get started again... I could only bring myself to make a few promised birthday gifts, which then again I could not share - ... here I am flinging it in February! Pic 1-5: Posing front and back, in my new padded dress! Worn with * a shiny jellyfish 🎐blouse that Paco @remesalt custom-made for me, * a white cuff-link blouse that I proudly acquired at a reknown London shirt maker in 2003 during my time as office slave * a me-made sweatshirt based on the #echtknuffig pattern by @echtknorke * self-drafted smartphone pouch as the dress has no pockets * red checkered obi made by Lore. Blue blossom obi made by @luannesewcializes (@whendy7 - Pic 💃5 is for you!) Outfit will be worn on the girls' night out on Feb 11, but no, there will be no fling... 😇 Pic 6: Doing the Berlin Fling to celebrate the successful completion of the dress, which was about to be flung into a corner as the padded material with its three layers wanted to shift and move around under the needle a lot! Thanks to sewing tutor Lore a solution was found: basting... Jonathan's sock-monkey brother is doing the famous Highland Fling, which I still have to learn and practise Pic 7: #outtakes (for @sarahcsewing 🥳): insta b was away, hence had to do selfies 🙄 Pic 8: Pattern is #N6572 recommended by @consistentlydifferentdesigns , with a rounded square neckhole to allow for the bias tape hemming (did Julie call this dress a "Jumper"?). Please note my adorable hand sewing of the back slit. Boiled wool purchased for another sweater - 🤞 it's very thick...
