Broke out my New Look jumpsuit today, rolling up the sleeves and legs for the warmer day, huzzah!🙌 #newlook6661 is drafted sleeveless or short sleeves, but I made mine with 3/4 sleeves. Perfectly warm for cold days, and just right today (rolled up) for the mid-60’s🌿 I used an Italian stretch cotton broadcloth of black and yellow threads that read army green. This fabric is substantial and came from Trim fabrics, a while back. As soon as I read about avocado skins and pits being able to dye fabric into a dusty pink, I immediately knew I wanted to color block or ombre something with various shades. . I don’t often wear pink, or dresses, but I found a Madewell dress that inspired me with it’s tiers and boxy top (last slide) and modeled my look off of that. . I used a straight size 16 bodice from #newlook #n6661 and made roughly 10” tiers at about a 1.5x width ratio. . Lastly, I bought personalized labels from @wunderlabel #wunderlabelcreative that arrived in time to sew on here, and there is a real sense of completion seeing my name on a project 😊 . Fabric is organic cotton from @cloud9fabrics @finchknittingsewingstudio super soft and took to the avocado dying so well :)

Happy Autumn everyone! 🍁🍂🍁. I have a fun jumpsuit to show you. The pattern is NEWLOOK #N6661. Fabric is a double gauze cotton from @metermeterdk. It is double sided with a smaller check on the opposite side. I thought it would be fun to use the smaller check on the sleeve bands, placket, waistband and pocket edges. I also had to alter the pattern to fit at my natural waist. I wasn’t feeling this denim #n6661 jumpsuit. Clearance stretch denim from #joannfabrics I used was too stiff. So I cut off the top and attempted paperbag style pants.
