These pants are Simplicity #s9959 unisex cargo pants in a Size Medium in Dove Gray nylon shirting from @fabricmart. I made no pattern mods other than skipping the bungee/cordlocks/eyelets in favor of something simpler. I left a space in the seam allowance of the inseam hem and made self ties secured at the outseam. Instead of three rows of thin elastic at the waist I did a single piece of 1.5” and it looks so much better. Outfit #1 from a camping holiday on the Sapphire Coast. I pretty much only wore this outfit for a week and a half. Pants are Simplicity #S9959 in a Cotton/poly/stretch from @tessutifabrics. I love these pants style for activities. Legs protected from the sun and bugs, quick drying fabric, pockets for everythung, with a comfy stretch waistband (for eating). The pockets are super fun as they are actually 2 pockets, and I like the curve detail on the front. I cut a medium and found them a bit too high-waisted for my liking and a bit too big. I would size down next time. I was inspired by @carlycloth and Leandra to bring more functionaly and fun pants into my wardrobe. I searched high and low for some white lightweight nylon fabric  (with no success), so settled for taupe fabric in a heavily discounted section at @tessutifabrics I think they turned out pretty well. Overshirt Shirt is #noashirt from @fabricstorescom in a mercerised cotton from @supercheapfabrics. I need to do a separate post, as it's oversized and also spans a few different sizes. I loved it! But I lost it on this trip, I think, maybe at the Eden Camp ground. 😭 The T-shirt is a #basicinstinctshirt from @secondpiano in a Cotton stretch from @tessutifabrics. It's +3 years old and had survived a beating. I love love this shirt (I am wearing it now as I type this!)

Lengthen your stitch and if you use topstitching thread, use a topstitching needle. The topstitching needle has a larger eye to accommodate the thicker topstitching thread.
