Just finished this denim romper! This was the first sewing pattern I’ve ever followed, and it’s the #me2074 by @alissahthreads I learned a ton making this; It was my first time sewing a collar-style top and buttonholes/buttons, and the pattern made it super simple to work through. I feel excited to have new skills down and to start making more things with buttons!

This took me awhile because I made a toile, but it’s finally done. Don’t mind all the wrinkles from wearing it today to library playgroup and errands! Pattern: #me2074 @alissahthreads pattern Fabric: @joann_stores Cupro Twill I made a size 12 and lengthened it by 1.5 inches at the hip line to accommodate for a growing belly. I used another pattern to add pockets instead of the patch pockets from the pattern. I also used snaps instead of buttons! I ended up adding 7 snaps instead of 6.

Hi all, here's the thing. I tried and completely failed to use the muslin fabric bought as a mockup throwaway fabric. 💁🏿‍♀️I mean, it is really nice soft cotton at the end of the day, just with a bland colour ... so I dyed it, and I love it now. 😀 This pattern is #ME2074 by designer @alissahthreads 💃🏻 of #Knowmepatterns under the umbrella of #simpicity_creative_group. If you have issues with doing collars, do this pattern. It's not done in the traditional way it's so much easier. Make the collar, then just sandwich it in between the garment and the facing. 👍🏿 The hardest part is probably the placket, which isn't bad at all.🍹 I bought the muslin from Amazon in bulk super cheap.
