When the toile turns out so terribly unflattering, but you press on anyway…because Plan B failed, my 1980s velvet evening dress no longer fits…
Working with lace @wearethefabricstore for the first time & heavy deep-navy satin fabric from my stash, this dress has all the 1980s vibes with fabulous sleeves, drop waist skirt…end result far exceeded my expectations!
PS photo 3: no time for button, so my son buckled me in with this broach…excuse the facings poking out, still need to be stitched down
