English below ⬇️ Avec le beau temps, j’ai repris la couture de ma robe cache-cœur maxi high low robe, commencée en fin août dernier. 🔸️C'est la même que ma robe verte que vous pouvez retrouver sur mon fil. 🔸️Le modèle, c'est un mix du patron #vogue8379 avec la jupe modifiée du patron #vogue1881. 🔸️Le tissu, c’est une maille très légère trouvée au marché de Sarcelles fin août dernier. 🔸️Pour le calcul du métrage dont j’avais besoin, notamment pour le volant, j’ai utilisé le fichier Excel que je m’étais construit pourmes robes à volants. Vous pouvez voir en photos 6 et 7 que jai eu besoin de 5 m pour me faire cette robe. ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ The warm weather that we currently have motivated me to continue sewing this dress that I had begun at the end of last summer. 🔹️It's a replica of my green dress that you can find on this account. 🔹️It's a mashup of #v8379 with the modified skirt from #v1881. 🔹️The fabric is a light knit found at french market. 🔹️In order to calculate how much fabric I needed, I used the Excel sheet that I made for my tiered dresses. You can see it on pic 6 and 7 that I needed 5m to cut the pieces for this dress.

With an upcoming end of summer casual backyard wedding coming up, I wanted a casual and drapey dress. This bamboo rayon jersey knit from @thefabricsnob caught my eye.  It is super soft and drapes well.  I decided to merge two patterns, #vogue9355 (reissued as #vogue1742) for the bodice; and #vogue1881 for the skirt.  Both patterns had a few adjustments;  the top yoke of the bodice was rounded rather than angular, and I added length to the front of the skirt and shortened the ruffle by a few inches.  My challenge was to make this somewhat stretchy knit work.....not wanting it to fall off of my shoulders and having the weight of the skirt pull the dress down.  I added quite a bit of 'reinforcement' inside!!!  🖤🤍🖤. . . . #thefabricsnob #bethemaker #v9355 #v1742 #v1881 #sewover50  #sewover60  #sewistsofinstagram #canadasews   #sewcanadian #canadiansewist #isewmyownclothes #canadianfabrics #ontariosews
