Continuing with the sporty theme is this geo tennis dress 👟🎾
When I picked this athletic knit from Vancouver sewing swap, I knew right away it needed to be a tennis dress. I love participating in sewing swaps because I always end up with fabric I would never buy yet absolutely love! I used the @knowmepatterns #me2080 and it did not disappoint 😍. It does run big so I definitely recommend sizing down if you make it.
Fabric: lightweight scuba from @discoverfabrics that I got from the #metrovansewingswap
Pattern: @knowmepatterns #me2080 by @thestitchfitz
Sewing details:
- Lindsey recommended sizing down, so I ended up making a size 10 in the top graded to a size 12 in the waist and hips
- I omitted the sliders and made one strap instead
- Instead of making a channel for the elastic on the shelf bra, I serged the elastic to the bottom, double folded it then topstitched it
