I’m so excited I was able to finish this incredible top by @lws_lynnwardrobesews before the challenge deadline!!I just cut the buttonholes open this morning 😝. This was my first “average” rated pattern and I could definitely tell the difference. I improved my skills so much. I was able to get over my fear of buttons and buttonholes!! Happy first day of #memademay2024 ! I sewed up Know Me pattern #ME2069 created by the amazingly talented @lws_lynnwardrobesews . I purchased this pattern as soon as it came out! I have been inspired by Lynn’s creativity since I discovered instagram and was thrilled when I learned she was going to create patterns for know me. I sewed this in a white denim and love both pieces. The shape of the top is just gorgeous and the topstitching details which are hard to see in the white really add so much to this top. I did decrease the back portion a few inches only because of my height. The fit on both pieces is amazing and I couldn’t love them anymore ❤️ I already have some denim cut out for another pair of these wide leg pants- love the whole vibe. Friday and finally some sunshine for Day 17 of #memademay. I sewed up Simplicity 9334 over the weekend in a bright summer floral challis fabric. It’s a cute top pattern with three different views. I made view c with the neck ties and love the drape of the shirt. I am trying to focus on more staple separates. I paired this with my jeans made from #me2069 that I absolutely love. The wide legged jeans are so comfortable and stylish. I also paired the jeans with Simplicity 9707 another newer make that is oversized and super comfortable. Memademay is a great time to take a look of what you already have and pair it differently. I wanted to get this finished for #SewAprilBlouse24 and I’ve hit a few obstacles tonight getting it finished. Hence the late post 🙈 I’d found the perfect @pigeonwishes.shops buttons then couldn’t find were I’d put them. The little things I thought I had left like the sleeves , hem , button holes and sew buttons oh and collar took longer than I thought. BUT I’ve loved making this blouse or is it a shirt ?
