It will not only have subs but also a DUB version with as much of the original English VA cast they could find??? I -really- like how my shirt for Tohru came out! The pattern (McCalls 7141) fit pretty much perfect on the first try, just had to bring up the shoulders a tad. I made the front close with sew-in velcro instead of buttons because it was so much easier;;; Sleeve pattern from McCalls 4948 for that extra poof. My daughter has a favorite skirt her grandma found at a thrift shop that's a pinch too small. She requested I duplicate this skirt with two specifics: 1) pleats all the way around the skirt (her old one has a plain back/no pleats) and 2) replicate the buckles on the front. Some red buffalo plaid, lots on pins, and much pressing later....she loves it! Now we're both dreaming up flannel versions of this skirt to wear with thick tights in the fall! **Pattern is McCall's M7141 (which is a cosplay pattern). Fabric is quilting weight cotton from Hobby Lobby.

A couple weeks ago, I whipped out a Shujin Academy jacket for a photoshoot that @thegeekyseamstress and I did! I didn’t take a lot of progress pics because I made it very quickly, but here’s one of me putting the finished jacket on just before I rushed out the door. I used @cosplaymccalls M7141 blazer pattern as a start, and then heavily modified it to match the Persona 5 reference art. I added vents to the sleeve and center back, modified the size & proportions to fit my frame, added the breast pocket, made double-welt pockets, and changed the location and number of buttons. Remember that a pattern is just a starting point, and you can modify it however you need in order to make it work better for your cosplay! 😊 #wipwednesday (PS: The patch and grade pin are official merch)
