@sewhayleyjane Is asking what our proudest make is.... mine is this red @gertie18 Charm Patterns Stanwyck skirt! I should probably say one of my dresses or coats; but this skirt was the first thing I made post partum. I wore it all the time. It gave me confidence and helped me feel glamourous and like ‘me’. I took it in repeatedly as I changed shape; until it needed retiring just before Christmas. Here it was photographed by a friend I made last autumn, with Gertie's butterick wrap top and my Mrs Maisel style half-hat for maximum effect 🥰 I've since remade it so I will always have one in my wardrobe. It's magic - everyone needs a red skirt in my opinion. And because I always post with a dad joke: What did the sea say to the shore? Nothing. Two new makes here, although I'm not sure the skirt really counts as new given that I started making it years ago and only recently got round to hemming it 🙈 I haven't had a chance to wear this outfit yet, but I'm feeling garden party vibes, so roll on summer (and a more glamorous lifestyle/social calendar than I currently have! 😂) Two big 4 patterns for a change, Gertie's @simplicitymccallsuk #S9288 wrap top which was previously #B6285 I used a viscose jersey from @minervadotcom and made a size 12 rather than my usual 10, lengthened a couple of inches. It's actually a bit big but the pattern pieces don't really lend themselves to an FBA so I didn't want to risk it being too small. The skirt is #S8609 made in a cotton duck from Cath Kidston, bought years ago when they still sold quite a lot of fabric. Again I made a size 12 and it's unsurprisingly too big on the waist, but I think the 10 would have been a bit tight and the pleats don't really allow for easy adjustments. BUBBLE BUTT ROMPER!!! All the rage for upcoming summer—sew yours now! I used Simplicity 9288 with some vintage 70’s fabric and vintage buttons and ricrac from @austincreativereuse. Pretty easy make and the elasticated legs make a fun bubble silhouette. Of course, I elongated the length by an inch, opted for sleeveless, pick stitched the zip, and added patch pockets. Maybe onna these daze I’ll make the mini overskirt for more fun layers to deal with when I go to the loo. Aren’t rompers fun?!!! Enjoy (or don’t) another dumb episode of crap i have in my bags. My overall outfit reminds me of a film with Poirot “Mysterious Murder in the Lodge” that takes place in the 1920s. I could imagine being part of the company. Die Folie hielt auf dem Probestück nicht so optimal. Das 2. Foto ist für Sarah 💐die gerade ganz tolle Plottermotive für Muttertag vorbereitet Ich trage die #hosepeaches von @manjipuh aus Kunstleder wie Wildleder.
