🎄 SEWCRET SANTA REVEAL 🎄 I am sooo grateful to Kris @unsewcial for creating this super fun Secret Santa Sewing edition and for choosing me to be a part of it 🥰 IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! I had a mood board designed for me by my secret Santa (who I now know is the gorgeous @26bydayana ) and I felt so inspired by it (swipe to see my mood board). What caught my eye was the bright red corduroy and the McCall's #M8410 so I decided to recreate it with patterns I already have and love! I use my favourite skirt pattern the #sylviecircleskirt by @cinnamondaisystudio which is a MUST MAKE to anyone who loves a twirl; and the Diana cardigan by @dressmakingamore which I hacked a tad (lengthened it and added cuffs) ET VOILÀ ! The perfect 2 piece set for Christmas 🎄 I used a medium thick stretch corduroy and it's so warm and cosy, perfect for this time of year. Floral mini denim skirt 💮 Bought this denim fabric because I couldn't resist. Had this pattern in my stash because I couldn't resist. 🫠 There was some user error during this make. The waistband is very wonky. It could be because of the interfacing that I used. It could be because I was tired of sewing it in and then unpicking then re-sewing the waistband on, but I eventually gave up and left as is. Considering it all, I'm glad I was able to get the zipper and waistband on..and this skirt has pockets. Overall, very cute skirt with pleats.
