The last pieces... ⠀ ...were an evolving thought process. ⠀ The top with the peplum frill was the result of a successful hack of the Helsinki dress from my previous post. An error in cutting meant I only had 1 of 2 pieces for the skirt 🙈. With no fabric left to rectify the issue, it became an unintended hack. One I love and is banked for future makes. ⠀ It also drove the thought process of striving for a more completed look, and so it seemed instinctive that an additional pair of Harem pants were needed. ⠀ The bears were a last minute decision. Nautical vs. Jungle ⠀ In all honesty, I couldn’t decide on the print for this collection of baby gifts. So I decided to combine the two as the colours for both seemed to compliment each other. ⠀ It always seems that expectant friends come in multiples, making the process of creation easier. With this sort of thing, I always go a bit crazy with all the ideas. There is something just so cute about tiny clothes. And therefore creating a collection is always the best way forward to not stifle any ideas. ⠀ So far in the collection I’ve made a little jacket with bunny ears, dungarees and a bear.
