The big day🌲 has arrived and soon I'll be able to show what I've been sewing behind closed doors all December 🎁. Before all the presents are opened, I'm revealing this evening dress for my daughter, which is an early Christmas present (to get the fitting done before she leaves again). It's @vogue_patterns #v1692. Daughter chose the beautiful, emerald green crepe satin last winter at @komolkastoffe in Vienna. Oh what a joy to work with such a luxurious material. The sewing took much longer than expected because there was a lot of handwork involved. All bindings on the inside had to be fixed by hand. 😅 The dress is fully lined and beautiful on the outside and inside. I am glad that the dress is now finished before Christmas and will soon find its way into the Viennese ball season. Happy holidays to the sewing community and all the @sewover50 editors keeping the account going.
