This year I set a few different goals for myself. The first one was I wanted to live a softer life this year. While life isn’t always easy we can try to change the way we respond to it. This year I want to focus on intentional happiness, being present, health, & living a lot slower. 💞 The second was I truly wanted to focus on the goal of creating pieces that made me truly happy. I had just finished watching “1923” and wanted to do a British 1920s safari outfit, but then when the time came, I decided I hated the theme and wore a hunter green knit dress with the jacket instead. 😕 Since then I’ve worn the jacket (@stylapatterns #stylatahoe made from @stonemountainfabric stretch denim) and the top (@fridaypatterncompany #wildergown made from white linen from @joann_stores) repeatedly but I never wore the skirt (@simplicity_creative_group #s9924 view B made from @stonemountainfabric @ladymcelroyfabrics fabric). Finished my sanity-challenging skirt from a sew along (Julie's Club) led by @fabricmart . Pattern is Simplicity 9924 made from an ornery linen blend, and lengthened about an inch. I'm happy with the final look and fit, less so with the body wearing it but that's a different challenge. I added a charmeuse lining made from fabric my RIP washing machine decided needed permanent oil spots.
