Der Sho!odie ist ein variabler Schnitt für einen Cropped Hoodie mit oder ohne Kapuze, geradem oder abgerundetem Vorderteil sowie zwei Ärmelvarianten. Soooo toll 🤗 Hier habe ich den Hoodie mit Kapuze, gerundeten VT und geraden Ärmeln genäht. Die Säume habe ich mit dem Karostoff meiner Voguepattern-Hose #V9274 eingefasst. Immer noch ziemlich ausgeknockt, komme ich nicht mal dazu, euch meine fertigen Sachen getragen zu zeigen… Daher heute nach langer Zeit mal wieder ein #flatlayfridiy ! Etwas verspätet hat mich die KaroLiebe erwischt. Dank der lieben @frau.a.w bin ich an den tollen Schottenkarostoff von @altex_stoffladen gekommen - danke dir noch mal liebste Annika! Genäht habe ich nach einem Very EasyVogue- Schnittmuster (V9274 und V9138) Und ich bin über die Passform, vor allem der Weste, total geflasht. Die sitzt wie maßangefertigt und wird wahrscheinlich nicht die letzte sein.🤗🤗🤗 Und dann habe ich als kleines Entspannungsprojekt die Tage noch einen passenden #dackeldetlef genäht. Dieser kleine Kerl hat es mir nämlich total angetan und das erste Motto des Jahres habe ich damit schon umgesetzt: #jedersollteeinendetlefhaben . I've been dreaming of a pair of pleather leggings for a while, and since I just couldn't find a pair I liked secondhand, I figured I'd make my own! Thanks a million to The Textile Centre for this fabulous faux leather - they were so generous to send me the end of the roll at no extra cost, how lovely of them! Sadly this vogue pattern was a real fiasco. I'm not a fan of commercial patterns I must say, but this one is just terribly drafted. I had to go a full size down from their recommended sizing to get anywhere close to the fit in the photos, and even then these are still loose in places. The crotch had all this extra material which I partially fixed by scooping the curve, but is still there in parts - I know every body is different but I never had this issue before. There's also a ton of material at the back of the knee, which you can't see here, and I'm not going to bother fixing. It's not a cutting issue as I was very careful to only cut one layer at a time as I know mock leather can be tricky. It's a shame cos I had high hopes for these and I loved the pattern design, but I'd advise all to steer clear. Luckily I still have loads of fabric (thank you textile centre!!) so I can try again with a better drafted pattern. Do you ever love the picture on a pattern envelope, but when you make it, it doesn’t seem to look as good? This little jacket was created as a wearable toile to test out the sizing & shape of this pattern before using the nice boiled wool in my stash waiting to become my next coat. ❤️ I was looking for a jacket with few pieces & minimal seaming (because my boiled wool has a large print which I want to cut up as little as possible) and this pattern really fit the bill. 😍 As luck would have it, I was randomly selected as a winner of the #sewnwithvogue Challenge sponsored by @minervadotcom this past fall, winning 5 Vogue patterns and a Minerva gift card. 🥳 I chose this cute jacket #v9274 and 4 others (more sewing to come!!😉). Thank you, Minerva & @simplicitymccallsuk The fabric came from my stash; a piece of polar fleece originally purchased by my mom. It worked well for this practice jacket and is comfortable to wear. 👍 My top 3 favorite things about this jacket: 3 - the asymmetrical button closing 2 - the side pockets 1 - the narrow stitching lines on each side of the neck/ shoulder area!😍So cool! 😍 As with any toile or muslin, you learn many things.👍And if you’ve been following my previous posts, you know this jacket was also an opportunity to learn & practice bound buttonholes. This method used the 2 separate welt pieces & it was great for bulky fabric. I plan to try the 1 piece patch method again to see if I can recommend 1 method over the other.🤔] What are you working on?
