Couture Quilting! Vogue asked me to come up with a garment for an issue that would appeal to quilters. Here is what I came up with. I call it Couture Quilting as it involves a lot of preparation and handwork for what appears to be a simple machine sewn jacket. Needless to say it was a hit! Rooting around in the fabric library at Vogue’s offices in NYC wearing Vogue v9212 and new McCalls spats pattern m7706. Both the jacket and spats are made from a rayon Scuba fabric purchased from @emmaonesock and quilted with heavy silk top stitching thread.
