Happy release day for the @the_sew_sew #LWhoodie This was such a fun pattern to test out. I'll share my detailed thoughts about the pattern below, but TLDR: yes, I would recommend this pattern. Sizing: I made a 2/4 for myself based off of my upper bust measurement with no adjustments for the pattern. It is perfectly oversized and comfy. I like the slightly cropped fit and the slouchy sleeves. For Jake I made a size 10/12. He didn't want it cropped and has long arms so I added 6" to the body length and 2" to the sleeves based on measurements from one of his other hoodies. Instructions/Pattern: The instructions and pattern are very clear and easy to use. Since it is a low waste pattern, the instructions include a cutting template and you draw the cut lines into the fabric yourself. Everything is a straight line, so a rotary cutter and mat make this a breeze. The neckline template and hood piece are the only paper pattern pieces and they are the same across the sizes. Construction: The construction was so simple that after making mine, I didn't need to reference them for Jake's. I love an easily repeatable pattern. The trickiest part was sewing my seams facing outwards for style. I had to unpick a couple times after going on autopilot and sewing my seams on the inside. The pattern is written for seams out, but also includes how to sew it with the seams facing in. I made them out of sweatshirt fleece and it's so soft on the inside. Adjustments due to testing: -Adjusted the cuff width on the bigger sizes. (I had to add a few more inches to Jake's as they were too tight) -made the waistband a couple inches smaller -made the instructions more user friendly and clear. I made a matching sweatshirt for Nomad using #s8824 view A. I made the neck and cuffs taller for him. This is my go to doggy sweater pattern.

It was only a matter of time before I made matching outfits for me and my dog. Dolly has been such a huge blessing to me. Those in my personal circle already know this, but I am getting divorced. This little girl is my constant companion. My outfit is a dress and matching wrap sweater. This is really comfy and I know it will get a lot of wear. I used vintage Vogue pattern 9872. Dolly's little sweater is simplicity 8824. It was nice to be able to make her a size medium but lengthen it by 3 in to fit her long body.
