I finished part 1 of 3 today for my puking pink pastel witch ensemble! The shirt is from #s8444 view A with the additional lace trim on either side of the button placket from view B. I opted to do an exposed contrast bias tape finish on the sleeve rather than a narrow hem as I wanted another touch of back on the sleeves. The fabric was responsibly orphaned from @julielangevin123 and the spider trim was bought at Wal Mart a few Halloween ago that was just waiting for the perfect use. It's perfection for a touch of subtle spooky. The lace was responsibly orphaned by @thegranddarlin and was dyed using @ritdye for polyester. The overskirt is all the trim options of both view a and b and I layered on the skirt the hem I removed off my wedding dress for light to dark color balance and to use up that beautiful antique lace. The fabric on the overskirt was responsibly orphaned by @thegranddarlin . The underskirt is from view B and I opted to do 2 layers of lace with bias tape at the bottom of each ruffle to bring the theme of black and the subtle blue visualy downward. The fabric and black (at the time white) lace trim was responsibly orphaned by @thegranddarlin and the blue trim was responsibly orphaned by @julielangevin123 I did deviate from the pattern in that I added a cell phone pocket into the underskirt side seam and I completely enclosed the waistband and used elastic rather than tying twill tape. How long until October 2nd? One year from my bridal shower and I get to wear a portion of my dress in public again. I finished the overdress for my puking pastel pink witch outfit. Just the under skirt to go!! I mixed and matched with view a and view b and doubled layered a few trims for bigger emphasis.
