A men’s blazer…but by @_donnyq. Know Me pattern designer Donny always keeps functionality and utility front of mind with his menswear designs and this pattern is no different. This is Know Me pattern #ME2075 which also includes a pants pattern. Here’s what Donny said about the blazer: This is a lined raglan-sleeved jacket with notched lapels. I wanted something that was a step-up from “casual,” but wasn’t too “professional.” I tried to tone it down with a boxy fit, raglan sleeves and patch pockets. The hip pockets are double pockets with a side entry, obviously. There’s also an angled pocket on the back. I would often commute by bike in grad school. Leaving items in my front pockets often leads to them dragging down my jacket when I’m leaning forward on a bike. However, I mostly added the back pocket because I think the placement looks silly and I find joy in that silliness. The sample here is made from midweight cotton twill and lined with cotton lawn.” Get it today at Simplicity.com! ✨ #menswear #menssewing #mensblazer #knowmepatterns

I'm promoting my new Know Me Pattern #ME2075 @simplicity_creative_group This pattern is available online at simplicity.com and will be shipping to local US stores on 3/8. It only goes up to a 48 inch (121 cm) waist. I don't have influence on sizes that get printed, and apologize to people who are excluded by the limited range. This packet contains a lined raglan-sleeved jacket with notched lapels. It also has a pair of pants with a crotch gusset, but I think the jacket is the main draw. I made it for a sew along video, which will be on the "SimplicityVideo" YouTube channel later this week. I'm still editing!

I don't make clothes for other people. But I was gifted fabric (from a deceased estate I think?) that was not to my taste and decided to force it onto my partner. I had a lot of trouble finding a suitable pattern that my partner liked. We landed on #me2075 but there wasn't actually enough fabric. Luckily I had something in my stash that seemed to fit well and kind of matched the lining that transformed in the wash from a lovely chocolate brown to a disappointing grey brown. This is the best collar I've ever made. All my collars have been unpicked several times until the ugly mess is "good enough". But the power of love helped me conquer the collar with no unpicking! Although I did have to unpick a buttonhole that I had mindlessly sewn before remembering that buttonholes are gendered. 🤦🏻 #knowmepatterns #mensewingpatterns #sew #sewing #sewcialists #australiasews #sewingaustralia #melbournesews #sewingmelborne #memade #imakemyclothes #sewingclothes #sewistsofinstagram #sewersofinstagram #isew #ilovetosew #sewinglove #sewingaddict #handmadewardrobe #diywardrobe #memadewardrobe #millenialsewing #memadeeveryday
