I typically make wearable muslins with fabric I picked up from the clearance section. I wanted to try this pattern but didn't have enough of the print, so I fould some inspiration photos of two toned dress and gave it a whirl! I really like how it turned out but it was definitely a trust the process project. Half way through I almost threw it out! Now it's the first thing I grabbed when packing for a work trip. This wrapped dress can be worn forward or backward with a fitted bodice and flared skirt, three inches below mid-knee or evening length. It features full-length sleeves, pockets in side seams and attached tie ends that wrap and tie at waistline. Designed for stretchable knits only.

HEHEHE, LITTLE PHOTOSHOOT. This is Vogue 2060, although it's accidentally a bit of a high-low situation because I had to adjust the waist on the top to be shorter in the front and I didn't want the rest of the length to be shortened but everything was already cut SO... little disappointed you can see the inside of the back through the front, but it is what it is. Outer fabric is cotton sateen from @gardamsfabrics , underlined with rayon bemberg lining from @tessutifabrics. --- I regard my vintage #vogue2060 dress a fail but also a win. FAIL because of the puckering and drag lines in the front bodice bust lines+topstitching and in the sleeves, those are supposed to be completely smooth. Plus, I've already shortened the waist a LOT, but after sewing up the front of the garment I realised the "overbust scallops" were sitting UNDER my bust line so I truly had a case of droopy boob. I HAD to take up the shoulder to bring those lines up and sit on me better. In doing so I've reduced the armhole too so I had to redraft the sleeve pattern and that didn't go too well thus the gathers around the sleeve heads. I also widened the neckline as it was a bit too restrictive. Furthermore, having taken up the waist more than initially intended made the skirt sides flare out from above my natural waist, making the silhouette more babydoll and look less sleek/flattering than the original design. --- BUT, that's exactly the WIN because I'm often bloated and absolutely welcome the extra room around the torso😅. And that I made all those mods and the pieces still somewhat fit together! So lucky because I wouldn't have the heart to start all over again if it wasn't wearable. I underlined the whole dress and hand-sewed satin bias binding to cover all the internal seams for a neat finish. Progress on my #Vogue2060 ... not very successful as there are puckers on the bust design lines. I followed the instructions and used easing stitches. But I shortened the waist a lot at the "lengthen/shorten line" (arrowed in the last pic) and although I redrew the outlines of the pattern pieces, I don't think they matched up accurately with each other after my modification. Also wished I used a fabric that can be steamed into submission, like wool crepe. I used cotton underlined with rayon bemberg lining here, not too forgiving. The bodice seams are all reinforced with seam tape, and topstitched, as per instructions.
