Inspired by the incredible makes by @kevinleonel, I made my brother a one-of-a-kind @mapleleafs jacket for his birthday. 💙 I put a lot of love into this make and I’m so, so proud of how it turned out. And most importantly, my brother loves it. I recently made this coat for Derek and I’m all kinds of jealous that it’s for him and not me. 😍 He wears it better than I ever would though! It’s made from a vintage wool blanket and then I cut up a dress I never wear to use as the lining. The pattern doesn’t call for lining but the wool wasn’t really stable enough on its own. Il est prévu sans doublure mais un vieux foulard de Charming s’est gentiment proposé pour un relooking, tu decouvriras le dessin de cette jolie doublure dans le prochain post. Côté tissu, il s’agit d’une bachette bleue délavée que j’avais chinee et pour qui j’attendais un projet adapté à ses marbrures vintages. J’adore l’aspect usé du tissu qui donne plus encore de caractère à cette pièce au dessin franc.
