Here is Butterick vintage pattern 6956 Seated. It has an inverted pleat at the front which makes it comfortable for sitting. So she is finally finished and I am pretty damn well pleased. This make has pushed my sewing skills to beyond but it is so satisfying when it all comes together. It has taken longer than it should of as I been waiting on some self cover buttons to finish the project but some thing are better not hurried and this is one of those patterns not to do in a hurry It's Butterick 6956 which is an authentic reproduction of an original 1950s pattern and I made it in @minervadotcom Exclusive stretch cotton sateen 'Blossom lane' which reminded me of the floral fabrics of the 1950s and was perfect for this dress.. It was so easy to work with and Ideal for making this pattern the first time as it was very well behaved. Now let's talk about the button loops…all 20 of the darn things, if you want to make a dress in a hurry don’t chose this pattern and chose a day to do these when your feeling calm and patient (although you might not be at the end of it) .I will say though I have made the button loops a tad too small as they are quite difficult to do up but hopefully in time they stretch a bit and get easier. Now the partying is over for  a while its back to my sewing. I am making slow progress on Butterick 6956 which is a reissued vintage 1950s pattern. Yesterday i spent the whole day making 20 button loops and sewing them in place but if your going to do something you might as well do it properly ...as they say The devil is in the detail that is for sure! They give this pattern a lovely vintage look, but oh my they were beasts. Thankfully yesterday was a calm day for a change and I was able to take my time and I am happy with the results. Now to get the sleeves in and then wait for the self cover buttons to arrive then the fun of covering 20 small buttons!
