Han sido eliminadas las petardas que estaban la última vez y ha fichado al Gran Carlos Arroyo (marido de Fátima Pérez, famosísima hostelera de Valladolid). Un profesional de los pies a la cabeza de los que quedan muy muy pocos y en sitios muy contados. Le acompaña otro joven muy atento y que parece que le pone enormes ganas. La mejora en la atención de acompaña de mayor cuidado en vajilla y cristalería. En cuanto al resto, todo tan bien como siempre: cocina de producto espectacular con la mano De Dios que posee Dámaso. Es, con mucho, el chef con mayor talento de toda la ciudad. Y lo de siempre: que ojalá estuviera en el centro para poder ir más. Una vez a la semana sería poco. We tested ours in cotton broadcloth which worked out well. Fabric suggestions include taffeta, crepe, shantung, wool jersey and damask. Retro sewing pattern challenge 1949 skirt Vogue #V1863 and 1950’s silk blouse and bolero jacket project both Simplicity #S9699 These garments appear simple but there were some surprises in the construction techniques and a different way of sewing compared to the modern patterns. Definitely not a beginner level. The collar on the blouse was not straight forward and very fiddly but it is beautifully fitted in the bodice with all the darts and the waist shaping. I made this in silk dupion and plan to make it in a variety of colours. The skirt is made from a rayon/nylon/spandex mix and the drape was not quite right compared to the pattern photo but I placed some weights at the side seams and that fixed the problem for me. It has a lovely swing when I walk and the pockets sit very nicely. The bolero was a surprise for me. I only made it because I wanted to do the pattern justice and it turned out to be my favourite piece. Made from a heavy cotton weave, almost upholstery weight, it was definitely a challenge to make. The collar area is not for the novice sewer and was quite a difficult to sew two right angles at the neck area but, with a more delicate fabric, it would have been much easier. The whole outfit feels and moves beautifully and it makes me feel special when I wear it.
