Here’s everything I’ve made so far using the bolt of crepe fabric I picked up at @citysewingroom a few years ago. Swipe thru to see them individually and find the pattern details below. So, am I sick of this fabric yet? Surprisingly no, but I do think I have enough of it in my closet at this point, so I may donate the rest or use it to make something for my mom (even though she’s already laid claim to my Luna Dress 😂). 1. I've had this dragon mask for several years. This year, I decided to build a costume around it. Then the question was, "Dragon or a dragon rider?" Maybe a bit of both? I was leaning towards a Game of Thrones Daenerys look, and I knew I wanted pants. This tabard pattern I found on Etsy was perfect. The vinyl, another Etsy find, matched the mask perfectly and is so soft. It's a very easy sew, but check the length before you cut into your fabric. I had to shorten it at least four inches. First time using the #topdowncenterout fit method. I used it with #s8655. Could be better but pleased with the results. I cut the front and back pieces in different directions for the corduroy. But these will get worn and and another pair made.

Newest outfit. I wanted to make this #patternbygertie many years ago but I couldn’t figure out how to lengthen it. At the time I wasn’t into the high waisted pants and there’s no way I could wear shirts like this without the high waisted pants. I wasn’t sure if ever make it because adjusting this pattern is rather technical. When I saw these #mimigstyle jeans I knew I could finally make that shirt. I was really humbled by the lovely handmade gift Gabriele @kissntuss brought me when we met a few weeks ago. It’s one of her beautifully crafted dresses, complete with some darling special labels inside. To make this dress she used the Klein Nr 2 pattern by @rosa_p_kreative. I love the way Gabriele emphasized the design lines of the triangle insets at the side seams by utilizing two coordinating fabrics with different triangle prints on them. Genius! And because it’s a dreamy, comfy, cotton jersey does that qualify this dress for secret pajamas?!? This understated design makes it really easy to style in different ways. I’ve always got my RTW denim jacket close by and it works perfectly over this dress with a silk scarf as a belt continuing the two-tone theme. If it’s cool outside, it easily can be worn with a turtleneck underneath. What a great transition piece. To really up the two-tone impact, what do you think of the bold pattern mixing by topping the dress with a black & white crane print wrap top made of pebbled crepe? I made it using the Mimi G pattern #s8655 adding length to the ties. My 2024 sewing year has started off pretty good! #s8655 came out years ago.
