#memademay2025 Day 12 This beautiful day started with a temperature of 49 degrees, cool enough for my favorite cropped sweatshirt. This top was a happy accident. I had just enough leftover fabric from a less-than-successful attempt at making a dog jacket to make this sweatshirt, but only if it was short and had 3/4 length sleeves. The pattern calls for a slouchier, longer fit. It turns out that I reach for this top any time I need a quick, comfy layer that I don’t have to be precious about. It’s great with pants or skirts or dresses. Today I wore it over an Orchard dress from @helens__closet until it was too hot for extra layers. The cool weather is over for the foreseeable future, so I’m glad this sweatshirt got one more wear this spring. Check out that blue sky! #orcharddress #n6759 #memademay

I found this yard long knit fabric at my local @salvosstores for 3$ and decided to make a #n6759 top, in view A, to wear for our #floralfridays at work ! I usually hate sewing knits since every single time, it either puckers up, or the fabric tears, etc . However, this is a thicker knit, so I thought I'll give it another go and Thank goodness it turned out okay... I made a cotton sweater for my hairstylist Tony @tonymackiepotts using a cotton knit panel from Metro Textiles @metrotextiles and Simplicity pattern #S8613. I used this experience to prepare for my Hoodie, Knit Tops, Sweatshirt Sewing Class All Supplies and lunch Included Saturday July 22 or Sunday Sept 10 9:30-4:30pm $210. 👉Happy students wearing there hoodies 🤗 This was the second sewing class these 2 students took and look how great their hoodies look👍.
