I kept seeing a certain Sezane outfit pop up in my feed (see last slide), and couldn’t get it out of my head. So I decided to make it. It’s not an exact replica, which is never my goal. Obviously the Sezane jacket is longer and has different details. I believe the skirt is a different shape too. But it was more the vibe I was going for. Reposting because I forgot that all important adage of “reading is sooo fundamental”, and didn’t realize that today, 24/10/31, is the posting date for final entry. I did update my entry by adding pockets which I learned is essential for me to have. My entry to #sewupcycle24 This is the #turtlesweater by #lydianaomi for which I was a tester. I made it in a fleece & I wasn’t wearing it as much as I thought I would and that’s because I kept messing up my hair (when I had much more hair) each time I pulled it over my head. I didn’t plan on entering this challenge but I kept seeing YouTube videos about it, so I checked out the instagram posts and a lightbulb went on. And, that’s how this up cycle came about; I have worn it about 4 times in less than one week since working on it. ✨ME2100✨ With winter around the corner it was time to make another jacket, in the form of the awesome #ME2100 bomber jacket by @lydianaomistudio. I am really pleased with the construction of this jacket and the pockets are just *chef’s kiss*. This is only the second garment I ever made with a lining, but the step-by-step video was so clear that it turned out really well. The fit is a bit more boxy than I had expected, but I can get used to that. If I make this another time, I do think I will use less fabric in the shoulders/upper arms though.
