This cape wraps up my 4 for 4 series. 😊 This pattern really pushed me, the construction of this really required me to mark EVERY piece so I could make sure I was sewing the right pieces together 🤭 there were times I went to bed with my brain in a knot asking "why would they have you do that," only to find out later that they are the experts and you should just follow the instructions 😅 I can't wait until a cooler day to wear this piece, it's even prettier than I could have imagined. Got my patterns that I ordered from @mccallpatterncompany today. It's sad that I ordered these back in mid February and I just received them. They sent it in good time but it's the postal service that is the issue. It took almost three weeks to get from Chicago to Winnipeg, which isn't that long of a drive. Oh well I'm just excited that they are here. Can't wait to start making stuff. I already have fabric for M7711 and B6548. Stopped in to my local Joann’s to purchase lining and ended up purchasing a few Butterick patterns that are on sale this weekend. 😍I almost fell over when I saw #B6603 because I have admired this cape for some time. I finished my series yesterday and as it came to a close I was extremely proud of the work that I put into it. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, I worked with fabric I was unfamiliar with, I tried colorblocking (I haven't forgotten about the purple version of the Vogue Jacket, just a bit slow to pick it back up. It's like that sometimes 😅) and I'm reading patterns more fluently than before. It's been fun, I knew what I was working on each day and was more (slightly more 🤣) focused than usual. I have some new projects in the works, I also have some UFOs I'm going back to complete. I'm up late finishing up some homework but since I managed to get it all done tonight that means I'll go into the weekend free and clear! ✌🏾 I decided to capitalize on this momentum and went to look at my book of patterns to match some of my new fabric.
