Yes, yes, that is an #eleonoradresspattern by @silversagapatterns, and I am wearing it with my green #S9847 vintage coat for a special evening. Pinch me. After a day like today, I need a hard pinch to return to earth. The day started celestially and ended the same with a generous dollop of the SUBLIME. My husband and I walked about three miles to the Museum of Natural History, an important place in both our childhoods. We took in a Hayden Planetarium show, shooting across the galaxy on its domed screen and gazed at the same taxidermy we had seen 50 or more years ago. Then we trekked back to our friends’ apartment to ready ourselves for a long awaited night at the Cafe Carlyle to see @rufuswainwright A subway ride, then a bus ride and then suddenly we entered the dreamlike environs of the cafe where the celestial and terrestrial are united in the murals of Marcel Verté. Words fail me. I have seen Rufus Wainwright a dozen times now, and am anticipating when I can see him again after tonight. Transported. Levitating still. And the last photo is Rufus’s eloquent rebuke of Donald Trump for using Hallelujah at his rally yesterday. The universe frowns upon the travesty of Trump swaying to that song. (By the by, the dress fabric is from @metrotextilesnyc and when I was there last week, there was still a bit left. ) #sewover50october24 #sewoverageism #memadeeveryday #allmyoccasionsarememade
