The actual reason I learned to sew 🪡 6 months ago I booked tickets to the sing-a-long performance of Six the Musical, and the performance encourages you to dress up as your favourite queen. I was determined to go all out and so needed to learn to make my outfit. Yesterday I finally got to wear my homemade costume to the performance! I have this problem where I have 2 weeks or less to go till a vacation and I…ABSOLUTELY MUST…make new outfits because nothing I own will suffice for some reason. Right now the style is square necklines and puffy sleeves. I had this cute floral fabric laying around and wanted another #s9627 so I made it! I had to take some of the sleeve puff out to fit the fabric but honestly it came out so cute! Paired with my tall boots, I’m living my ultimate tough meets cute life! I had made a dress with this pattern already but the fabric wasn’t vibrant enough. I still love it but for Disneyland, I’m making a soft cosplay of my favorite Disney Prince…Prince Edward from Enchanted! I’ll be making his outfit into a dress, using this same pattern, but adding the straps on the sleeves. It won’t be accurate by any means, as I’m making this a lady Edward, so technically a different character! I got this great fabric that’s almost a perfect match, for half off, and some thread for the embroidery on the sleeves. @sewhouse7 #skylinetee again. This time scoop front and back neckline. I think this is really sweet. Previous versions I made a 6 at shoulders and bust and graded to 8 at the waist. However, decided to go straight size 6 and it’s perfect. Totally recommend this pattern. I’m not much of a v-neck wearer, but I want to try out those two versions and make one with the puffy sleeves, which is totally not my norm, but whatever. Jazz things up a bit.
