My first ever handmade jacket!! I don't know why it took me this long to attempt outerwear, this was actually lovely to sew. This @fabricgodmother cotton is one of the most amazing fabrics I've ever bought. The colours and the print combined are giving Grandma's curtains but in the best way! I fell head over heels for it as soon as I saw it. I'm seriously regretting not getting more for matching trousers or a skirt 💔 This is the new #m8565 jacket pattern and I loved these super cool patch pockets on the design and the boxy shape. I made the size small (it's mega oversized as a unisex pattern) and shortened the pocket and bottom hem by 2.5 inches. The collar was a very last minute decision, I loved it without just as much but I like the option of wearing this like a shirt buttoned all the way up for more styling potential. Please help me choose some buttons! I'm torn between covered buttons or chunky gold jeans buttons 🤔 Shout out to my amazing hairdresser @haylohairdressing for giving me the best warm brunette colour ever too ❤️
