A nightgown I made my daughter from #s8799. It's actually the second I've made her, the other is from some extra plaid flannel I had that she wears constantly. This one has little tadpoles and 🐸 in the jars and is perfect for her. I'm supposed to add lace to the bottom but I cant find where I put the spool. Finally finished my first vintage nightie!! I absolutely I love how nicely this came together. Possibly my frumpiest #workinprogess but I think it’s gonna come out super cute! I had tons of this fabric leftover from the dress I made for a wedding back in October. Yet another nightgown from pattern #s8799. What can I say? It's quick to sew up, satisfying, and practical. Especially when it's using up the last of the fabric from my previous project. This one is even shorter than the last two I made my daughter but I only had so much fabric to work with. The back was pieced together with two halves instead of cut on the fold because I didn't have any fabric left wide enough. A closer look at the bow gathering on my most recent nightwear make. I was unable to find quite the right shade of ribbon so opted for a cotton bias binding which I then seamed shut. I love how the cotton matched the cotton fabric. I made another nightgown from pattern #s8799 today after spending the entire weekend in the one I made previously. I'm dubbing it my Easter nightgown because I think the fabric looks like an Easter Egg. I cut the fabric on the crossgrain because I wanted horizontal stripes precisely for that reason. And it's a bit shorter than the pattern dictated because of that and because I only has two yards not three. I had intended it for a vest but one of the stripes is more orange than the yellow it appeared online and didn't match the dress I wanted to pair it with.
