Finished making this #n6750 wrap dress in this gorgeous printed rayon from @spotlightstores . I made it in a straight size 10, without any major adjustments... just took off 1.5cms from the waist and that's about it! Last weekend I witnessed the beautiful wedding of my friend @jordan.kinzler and her, now hubby, Brendan (would have included pictures, but Jordan and Brendan said they’d be right back when we attempted to take pictures with them 😂). It was a beautiful outside ceremony with a lavish reception inside. The bride was stunning and I cried, as I always do at weddings. Also, it was wonderful to run into my BFF @elizabethring15! Details: For this event, I wanted something a little less black tie and more comfortable. I found this beautiful emerald green tencel fabric from @moodfabrics. I lined the bodice with Egyptian cotton in a mint color, also from Mood. I wanted a nice looking inside, especially since tencel frays so much and debated french seams, surging, and Hong Kong seam finish. I decided on Hong Kong seams with a beautiful saturated hot pink bias tape. I absolutely adore the New Look pattern, #N6750! First, the directions are more comprehensive than some of the other Simplicity patterns, which I don’t necessarily need, but it's nice to have. Also, the pattern was only $2.99, which considering patterns run around $20 was a big win. The pattern didn’t have the exact view I made. I went with both views A & B where I took the sleeves from A and made the longer version B (I bought a ¼ yd extra fabric to achieve the sleeves with the view B yardage.) Considering I’m 5’9, this was an excellent decision. I absolutely loved wearing this dress and didn’t get too hot in the overwhelming St. Louis heat. I will be making this dress again, likely in the shorter version, with a Liberty Tana Lawn. #madewithmood #memade #handmadewardrobe #slowfashion #thankyoumood
