This is #butterick6486 and at first glance I loved this pattern (on the envelope). Ended up taking a lot of inches out of the back piece (although it’s cut on the fold) and at least it doesn’t look like a FOUR man tent anymore!😜 Also lengthened it to wear over jeggings. It is growing on me and I really like the neck and of course the sleeves and all the french seams 😍 #b6486 #polycotton

Both garment tops pictured are a princess style, which is a favorite because it’s flattering on so many body types. The black pinstripe one is made from an indie pattern with added bell sleeves from #butterick #b6486 for a little more somethin’ somethin’. The brown/rust/leopard is another Butterick #b6850 I really prefer this pattern because the placement of the princess seams makes it a much easier sew. (I’ll explain more in the blog) I “should” be done with it by tomorrow ☺️. Wore this today with faux letter trousers ..why not lol...this is the Butterwick B6486 ..I choose the balloon sleeved view D for the sleeve and view A for the bodice and as this was my second attempt at this pattern a FBA was completed ...as my first attempt was a little bit billowie for my liking and a FBA does give a nicer fit for sure ..re the balloon sleeve (not sure whether this is the correct name ..please let me know the correct name if I am wrong)... this is such a nice detail ...
