One of the best things I’ve ever made! These are #s9765, and I love them! When the pattern was released last spring, I instantly knew I would make them for Christmas for my daughters, and here we are!
The fabrics are various cotton prints. I used Pelion no tricot flexible foam for inside and Pelion wunder under (inherited from my late grandmother) for making the fusible appliqués. I made two larges and one medium.
The envelope has some typos on the back, so definitely check those measurements if using metric. The fabric requirements are generous. The straps are way too long. Swipe to see how much I had to fold them to make them fit my 6-year-old. The wings are a little floppy across the center where the topstitching is, so I plan to add some appliqué stiffeners across the center at some point.
Some curves could be slightly more rounded, but I didn’t trim close since these are toys, and I don’t want any popped seams. I traced the appliqués onto the fusible backing rather than cut around the pattern pieces. Much easier! I used one of my pattern weights as a template for the spots to get perfect circles.
