I made the girls some dressing gowns out of fleece from @spotlightstores and using @simplicity_creative_group #s1562 and now I want to eat them up! So cuddly!

Dressing gown #S1562 with a half an arm removed and half a leg in length because #short. Made with #fuzzbuster fleece from @knitwitfabrics. In retrospect I wish I chose a bright colour, but it’s done now. I enjoyed not a single second of making it, so I’m proud of me finishing it. Broke two needles doing the tie keepers oops. Might be the only thing I ever make for myself that was cheaper to make than go buy a new one, and dressing gowns are always problematic ... because short. Anyway, should fix the winter dressing gown situation for another 10-15 years.

Violet says she is Sloth Person now. This is a festive dress I made around the holidays. I had this pattern in my stash for ages and finally sewed it up - it’s #s1562, made in an inexpensive, mostly polyester plaid from my local @fabricville. It *looks* like wool, but was kind of weirdly hard to cut; that’s when you know it’s synthetic. But pretty good for the reasonable price. Some more details of @simplicity_creative_group #s1562. I made a self-fabric loop for hanging. I tacked down the collar to keep it from rolling out. I added a Milly snap i also got from @fabricmart. No finish photos of the sweater yet because I’m not sure that it’s done. It kept feeling like it needed something but I wasn’t sure what so I put it on last night and I think it needs #alittlesomethinsomethin in the front, still. Here’s a shot, however, of how cute the hood turned out. It initially ended up way too long for what I wanted for this one, because I got a little overzealous. 😂 I trimmed it way back and have saved the leftover for another project. Yesterday I made a pair of leggings from an old sweater my mom gave me for upcycling. They could be a smidge bigger, but live and learn, right? And here’s a shot of the laid out #m7874 I’m about to do. That’ll tick “a repeat” off the @patsypoomakes #make92020 list. After this I’ll be doing two robes, one for my soon-to-be son-in-law to match my grandson’s, and one for my SO.
