Bit belated, but I made this McCall’s M7247 top in November before the run-up to the Christmas craziness (does anyone manage to sew up Christmas gifts for people? There’s no way I would have the time! Would have to get pretty organised for that!). Quite an “eco” make - the fabric is from a stash in my parents’ loft that comes from my great aunt - been there for decades. A lovely quality soft jersey - feels like mercerised cotton, maybe? I altered the style of the pattern slightly, to shorten and take it in, as I realised it was supposed to be quite loose and long, which wasn’t what I wanted. That took a bit of DIY to keep the smooth asymmetric look. Happy with the result! Super comfy! #m7247 #mccallspatterns #sewover40

I finished another McCall's 7247 last week at the sewing retreat. This time I made view A, which I like much better as it is closed on both sides under the overlay. The other one I made drives me crazy as it flips open every time I move. I said I was going to sew a snap on to keep it closed but I still haven't done that.
