I would love an opinion. I made this skirt out of some extra fabric I had, but the pattern called for lighter weight fabric, and I can see why. The gathering on this looks very bunched up and the whole skirt looks heavy. The pattern itself was great, but I made a poor choice of fabric. Should I still wear this? The back of the skirt looks worse than the photo shows. It sticks out quite a bit. It looks Victorian, or clownish, or something... But seriously, I really loved this pattern by #simplicitypatterns. Me Made May day 17: my skirt is Simplicity 9472, and I found my cardigan at a thrift store. The fabric I used for the shirt is a rayon challis that's covered with stars and moons - I love it! I struggled with sizing this pattern and ultimately had to take it in quite a bit after I made it too large. The pleats in this pattern are stitched down.
