Four months after breast cancer took my mom/best friend to Heaven, God tucked this precious baby girl inside of me. ❤️ She has my mom’s light blonde hair and freckles. She’s obsessed with baking, just like my mom. She has my mom’s quiet and sweet disposition.
Sometimes she’ll say or do something and it reminds me so much of my mom that I just start crying. I don’t say a word but every time, my little girl runs to hug me. She knows the reason for my tears.
Sometimes God gives and sometimes God takes away. But every single time He sweeps in and changes things, we can trust that He has our best interest in His heart.
Today I’m thankful for the gift of my daughter. And nothing is more fun than sewing matching ruffly pajama pants for me and my bestie.
