Zwischen den ganzen eleganten Kleidern, Hosen und Oberteilen ist im Sommer auch ein legeres Teil entstanden: Raglan-Hoodie #M8054 von #mccallspatterns. Von anderen Näherinnen wusste ich, dass der Schnitt untypisch für McCalls, sehr unförmig ausfällt, daher habe ich mich entschlossen den Schnitt um 2 bis 3 Größen zu verkleinern, damit der Pullover figurbetont sitzt. Mit ein paar zusätzlichen Anpassungen hat es auch ganz gut geklappt. Jedoch muss ich beim nächsten Mal die Brustweite etwas vergrößern. Der wunderschöne Sweat mit Aquarellmuster ist von @pepelinchen, der unifarbene Sweat von @kathi.kunterbunt und die Kordel aus meinem Fundus. Just finished my second out of three projects for the sewing class I’ve been taking this semester. #mccallspatterns #m8054 This may look like a normal little hoody to you, but to me it’s a completed canvas of new and refined skills (casings, top stitching, use of a twin needle, hand finishing, marking, pinning, buttonholes, zippers, stay stitching, pressing, basting - I swear, this thing had everything!) I loved picking out the fabric, choosing my finishes, the zipper, fitting.... Me Made May - Day 15 It was a little chilly this morning, so I threw on this top made from McCall’s #m8054 . I made this top out of scraps left over from other projects. This pattern actually annoyed me because the drawing on the envelope makes it looked fitted and it was not at all. I had to take it in quite a bit just to get this semi fitted look. Happy Halloween! My son asked for a wearable teddy bear centipede. Made a sleeve using #M8054. Made eye sockets, so the eyes, in the head, are moveable. Fabric from @joann_stores. Eyes from Dollar Tree. Not sure if it's a bearipede or a centibear??

I bought some things. I would have bought more things but most of the shelves were empty! I went in intending to buy lining fabric for a few more masks. I have everything else I need. I am so glad I have a big stash. Who knew it would be so useful! So due to keeping well away from the people not 'social distancing', I ended up with a few patterns😮. I also managed to buy some rayon with my 50% off voucher and lining fabric for my covid masks. There wasn't much left to choose from. . It is so hard to shop safely especially when its so busy. I chose to shop at a quiet time, I worked out what I needed before I left home and waited so patiently for a safe space in each isle to find my fabric. Once I had my fabric I left and went home. If I want to browse - I do it at home online. Where it's safe.😇 . There are always going to be others who don't respect your space. Please avoid the shops if you don't need to be there. Best to stay home and stay safe. Lets end this. Stay home. Me Made May Week 1 (May 1st-7th) 1. Starting off with a jewelry make instead of a sewing make. Silver stegosaurus necklace made from PMC. 2. Maxi skirt made out of a grey textured knit fabric. Self drafted. 3. Vest made from heavily modified simplicity #s8843 I realized after I wore it the two front pieces are off by about 1/4”. I need to go back and fix that! I had this fabric for years in my stash and I had started a jacket (different pattern) that never worked out. I went back to it again and ended up with this vest. 4. Just my scrappy McCalls #m8054 5. Long cardigan that is self drafted out of this light weight striped wide rib sweater knit. 6. Blouse from a vintage simplicity pattern. I have made different versions of this pattern, but none like this. I made it a few years ago, and this was the first time I wore it. I’m still not sure if I like it. 7. Self drafted rib knit maxi dress. Work in Progress - Fleece hoodie for my DD. I'm almost finished. But I have to stop here. The zipper I ordered from @wawaksewing was too short. 😐 Anyway, so far so good. These hoodies are the last of my Christmas made by me gifts. I used McCall's #m8054 views C and D. My DD loves them. And right now they are in heavy rotation. Her happiness makes me happy.
