Me Made February It's been a good month of sewing. Trying to get back into a bit of stretch sewing. I much prefer sewing with woven fabrics. I can see the attraction of stretch sewing as it's speedy but woven will always be my first love. 1. @tillybuttons Agnes Top Beautiful soft stripy fabric from @sew_youcan 2. @tillybuttons Cleo Dungaree Dress Denim fabric from @fabricbazaar Changed the pocket shape, inspired by Pippen from my last garment class. Also had fun sewing with the rainbow thread for Topstitching. 3. Flowery Agnes Top Fabric from donations box @sew_youcan 4. McCall's M8295 kids crop Top for my daughter. The purple top was just a wee try out to see if it would fit her. The white one was made from an old t-shirt. 5. Last but not least, more pants! A vintage pattern I was gifted a little while ago. I made it in cheesecloth from @spotlightstores . I knew I wanted this deep burgundy colour to tie in with the dresses I had made for the girls. I originally thought I wanted linen and a different pattern style but when I got to my local they didn’t have enough of the linen I wanted so I had a little explore and found this fabric. I love the drape of cheesecloth, the wrinkles (perfect for wearing all day and still looking good) and the price point! I did all french seams or covered seams so the insides look super pretty too. I’m going to take off and re do one sleeve because I nipped a hole in it doing the cuff 😩 it’s patches up and no one can notice but I know it’s there. Otherwise it was a beautifully put together pattern. Now I wait patiently to see our photos and show you my gorgeous girls. 💗💗💗
