Howdy 🤠 i made these Mccalls M8007 in a very lightweight denim. I didn’t make a draft for them which is something I wish I did. I brought them in on the thighs by about two inches so they would be more of a tighter fit and then flare out. I also shortened the waist by about an inch which wasn’t enough. It is still a little more drop crotch then I would like. For my next pair I’m going to go down a size on the waist and thighs, shorten the length by an inch on the bottom, shorten the length on the waist by another inch or two, and make the darts a little bit deeper because I have a little bit of a sway back. I really want to love these pants but for right now they look cooler on my husband then on me. I can’t wait to try again though and make the groovy flair pants of my dreams 🕺🏻 #mcallspatterns #m8007 #flarepants #memade

Sometimes you’ve got to give yourself a sewing challenge. ⁣So I decided to make pants for the first time, to be skin tight, and out of non-stretch velvet. I used McCall M8007 pattern and modified it down the leg. This is for a concert I’m going to in March (@gretavanfleet ) and they are so incredibly extra, but I love them.
