Still loving all things seashells and sealife 🐚🪸. So when I saw this canvas fabric at @heysewsister.co.uk awhile back, I snagged it so fast. I made #m8390 in the shorter version, which was a journey 😅. It’s odd, 99% of the time I find that the big 4 patterns run big for me. This one ran small. Even after adding a bit to the side seams, there were multiple times during the process when I thought for sure it wouldn’t fit. But at the end, it zipped. A wee bit snug, but it zipped. And speaking of the zip - even though I purchased the right size separating zipper, it somehow ended up being too long. Idk? I double checked I cut everything correctly and everything was right. I made it work by doing a teeeny tiny hem after overlocking the raw hem, and widening and adjusting the construction of the waistband. And now you would never know 💁🏻‍♀️ and it’s a pretty cute skirt.
